3D printing of the Corgoň statue at a height of 80 cm
Iconic Corgoň at life-size 80 cm – an exact reproduction of the legendary statue, 3D printed for interior use. The project combined technical precision with a strong emphasis on preserving every detail of the original model.
When a client came to us with a request for a faithful reproduction of the legendary Corgoň, we knew this would be one of those projects that demands the same respect for the original as the statue itself deserves. The goal was to create an 80-centimetre copy of the iconic figure that would stand not only as a decorative element, but also as a visually powerful branding object for an interior space.
The first step was processing high-quality reference materials and preparing a digital model with maximum fidelity to the original. Every wrinkle, every muscle, and the characteristic facial expression – all of it had to be preserved. We optimised the model for printing with regard to stability and the final surface finish, selecting parameters that ensured sharp detail even on surfaces with fine texture.
The print itself was produced in several parts, which we then precisely joined and finished so that the result would appear as a single unified piece. The surface treatment was crucial – the Corgoň had to look monumental, not like a print. The final object delivered to the client met expectations exactly: a strong presence, clean detail, and a proud figure that instantly commands attention in any interior.
